ZL 1 Rock guards

We have had numerous customer ask about developing something to help prevent rock chips down the side of their ZL due to the sticky tires. So we developed a quick fix that should significantly reduce the risk. These ZL1 rock guards install in a snap using existing bolts and the addition of 2 snap fasteners. Best of all, NO DRILLING!!!

great idea, when my 1LE arrives, I was going to be ordering a set of the factory zL1 guards and see if I could modify them to go behind the front tires, use the left on the right, front on the back etc.

hharris 02-01-2013 10:00 AM

can you take some better quality photos?

wilmaya 02-01-2013 10:01 AM

Look good to me. When will they be available?

NewDivide 02-01-2013 10:06 AM

I'd like to see a pic of just the guard itself, off the car please.

fjstephens 02-01-2013 10:12 AM

Looks good.

Icemanmanf 02-01-2013 10:16 AM

I asked for these awhile ago.

I need these now. My car is a daily driver and it makes me sick to hear the rocks hitting the side of the car. How much and when can I buy them. :chevy:

Devils950003 02-01-2013 10:40 AM

Guess that's the $1000000 question for now...when will they be available, and for how much?

jsd 02-01-2013 11:06 AM

When and how much:)

Mike535 02-01-2013 11:17 AM

Where did he post a link? Where did you see a price?

v8 02-01-2013 01:25 PM

I know my car is not a ZL1 but I have clear bra in the rear gill area and not one chip. All camaros are prone to chipping there.

ZL1 Spoked 02-01-2013 02:08 PM

Already have these and installed, I wish I had these day one they significantly reduce rocks and dirt from splashing my doors!

ZL1 front Mud flaps

Everyone can make their own, super, super easy even with very little ability.

Here are mine, I put these on first thing and they are perfect. Please don't spend allot of money on these like I saw listed. (I can't find the listing anymore) Just get a generic set for $10 at Autozone or any discount parts supplier and then use the back flaps as a sample. Cut down the new ones, install with a few screws and done, again super easy!

It is for two fronts. The rest of the car is equipped with them from the factory.

I Must Agree With You On Pricing I Saw Too. That Pricing Is Out Of Reach For Us ZL-1 People. Think It's A Good Product, Just Priced Wrong:iono:

c4maroboy 02-01-2013 05:31 PM

think im interested!!

One-Bad-ZL1 02-01-2013 05:52 PM

Too much, SS. For that I'll make my own.

showstopper 02-01-2013 05:58 PM

Pricing is based upon materials and time involved to make them. I understand where everyone is coming from but if you figure the time of you going to the store, buying the item, making a template first, then transfer your template. After all that you have to figure out how to mount them. Or you could support a vendor here on camaro5 that keeps this site going. Just my 2 cents.

montana7mm 02-01-2013 06:32 PM

I followed THR ZL1 #1 's DYI and they turned out great for only $12! $125 bucks from Showstoppers website seems crazy to me.

1MtnGoat 02-01-2013 07:04 PM

Make your own. Here is the thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...16#post5690516 RPI sells a SS flap set for a fraction of these. The front flaps work but are a bit small. I made my own similar to the above but extended the flap approx. 3/4" below the bottom of the ground effects and used 3M double stick tape to hold upper section instead of clips. I have seen no new chips since installing the "new" version 5 mo. ago.

Midnight Rat 02-01-2013 07:18 PM

Will these fit on the 1le without modding
