l99 and JBA cat back exhaust

Does anyone have any experience with JBA cat backs part 40-3114, I've heard the exhaust on a ls3 and wander about drone on a l99

We've sold a bunch of these and haven't had any drone complaints. It's a pretty aggressive system but most people have been very satisfied so far. You'll obviously get some afm noise but that is completely unavoidable unless you tune it out (or shift into manual mode).

I just bought that PN from Juiced for my LS3. I figure if the drone is too much I'll try welding in J pipes. Can't beat the sound on that system though... or the price for that matter.

Will this system cause any warranty issues, i would like to keep th warranty if possible so im not going to do the tune

Check with your dealer, but it should only kill the warranty regarding your exhaust.

No warranty problems with a catback.

i have the L99 and this catback everyone loves the sound, always get compliments.

few things to note though. for the first 500 miles or so it can be quite loud and it will drone right around the 1800-2k mark.

after that it will quiet down some (still will sound very nice) as the metal tempers and it gets broken in.

it has a bit of a vibration when its very cold outside until it warms up (this only takes a few minutes) and seems to be located around the trans. if you are familiar with cold weather then you know the new little noises a car makes when it's cold and know it's nothing to freak about.

having said all that, would i buy this catback again?
hell yes, i love the sound, the feel, and cant wait for spring so i can add the hfc and headers!

if your dealer tries to give you any crap about the warranty tell him to take a hike and find a dealer who knows something about the cars he's selling.

Ive got the same setup on my car. people always compliment on the sound, Im putting stainless works headers on tomorrow so well just have to see how the two sound together. These will not void your warranty and one of the best bang for your buck out there for exhaust

If your dealer complains about a catback system it might be time to find a new dealer. Shouldn't be an issue there.
