Any Toyota Land Cruiser enthusiasts in the house?
 

Anyone know of a cool toyota or land cruiser specific online forum? I'm looking at picking up a mid eighties FJ60-62 or early nineties FJ80.

Jeez, no one on this forum likes land cruisers? 30,000 members, and i'm the ONLY land cruiser enthusiast?

I personally think they are ugly, and if you really want a good off-road vehicle, buy a Jeep. :flag2:

I had an 88 Toyota 4x4 and man, I loved that thing. I don't think you're going to find any love for Toyota on this board though, especially not with Fen around :laugh:

I like the 2000+ Landcruisers.

My uncle has 2 now and used to have 3rd Land Cruiser. He's got a 91 and a 66 now. That 66 is pretty cool, it won't go fast, but it sure will pull. He also had a mid 70's but sold it a few years ago, now he wish he never did.

The reason I don't want a jeep is because I need something that has some decent back seats. I also want something that is safe. I also want a reliable bullet proof motor, transfer case, and drive train. I'm also looking for a decent amount of cargo space. The jeep, while it may be a capable offroader with bullet proof drive train and transfer case is not what I'm looking for. My budget is also only $5K - $8K so my options are limited in that range. Sorry, but I'll take a $5K land cruiser over a $5K jeep any day of the week. I'm not looking for something to convert into a rock crawler. I don't need a Dana 44 or 60 axle, or an Atlas II transfer case. I just want something I can take out to the desert, go camping, fishing, but is also driveable on the street, RELIABLE (key word) and I would feel safe about carting around my little ones in when they make their appearance.

I love FJ-60's! They are definitely my favorite gen land cruiser. Even moreso than the FJ-40's. You don't happen to still have it do you? lol.
