Detroit Muscle heads to LoveFab Inc.

Build details starting at Post #20
TWIN TURBO 427 LSX

Hey everyone…
Especially those in the Mid-West, we have a new speed shop offering its services to our car culture.

LoveFab Inc. has a great name and amazing reputation in the Import and Diesel worlds. They specialize in Acura NSXs and they really own that niche market. Cody Loveland, owner/fabricator/mechanic/driver/tuner, of LoveFab has set a world record when it comes to NSX power and track records at places like Gingerman Raceway….. and hopefully soon he can add Pike’s Peak to that list! LoveFab received an invite to run Pike’s Peak this summer in his 1000rwhp 1991 NSX V6, his girlfriend Tabitha will be co-driving with Cody at the wheel in the Unlimited class.

I have known Cody for the better half of a decade, the first few years of that were just rumors of those kids over in Buckley Michigan building fast cars out of their garage, as the years went on his reputation grew and he turned it into a career. Cody and I discussed a doing turbo build on Detroit Muscle back in 2009, but as his business was swamped with NSXs from all over the world we held off and I went to a Texas shop and went procharger. Couple years later…. Couple engines later… I am now living a few towns over from LoveFab and Cody approached me with another opportunity to do a turbo build… I jumped on it.

Detroit Muscle was taken over the new location of LoveFab over the weekend. Cody stopped by my place Sunday morning, it is only a 30 mile trip to get to his new 5,000 sq ft facility, which has a great view of Grand Traverse Bay. 30 miles is probably the shortest pick up Cody has ever made. He takes pride in picking up his clients cars… which I am sure is a logistics nightmare… just this month he will travel to DC, Pennsylvania, Chicago, and San Antonio.

I want to go into detail about the build… but I know Cody will want to do the honor of writing up his first Camaro build thread himself. He has hundreds of Imports on his resume, quite a few Dodge Cummins (think 1000hp, 1500ft lbs) and one G8. Cody had a lot of fun making ridiculous power on that G8 and thinks the Camaro is the next logical step. V6 kits are also a something on the drawing board.

So if you are interested, especially if you are in the Great Lakes Region… keep an eye out on my new build thread from Cody@LoveFab.

Below are some pics I snagged from their site to show a couple LoveFab project cars and quality of the fabrication he has become famous for.

Sounds like you're in the hands of the turbo experts. I'm wondering if they improved any GTR's, if so they must be awesome.

I have not heard of them getting hands on a GTR yet... but holy crap if they did!

I think I did business with him when I had a turbo ls/vtec on Honda-tech.com back then.
