torque vs convertible
I am wondering how much power I can put in my 2SS/RS 2011 convertible without twisting the body. I was thinking a sport bar would strengthen it but in now way gives me roll bar protection. Does anyone have an opinion or info on this? :chevy: I'm hoping to be able to put a supercharger in it with a few other things to get it to 600hp or more.

These are not the flimsy Camaros of yesteryear. I drag the hell out of my car and plan on being the fastest vert out there. I don't anticipate any body twisting problems.

I'm curious if any different/additional bracing will be used on the ZL1 convertible compared to the SS. I don't think you'll have to worry about the body before the driveline or suspension...

You can go to 750+ no problem. Like sux2bu said these are not flimsy .

The ZL1 will come in a vert and its got 680hp.

I ordered the SLP ZL600 - they do not put extra bracing as GM has already done this. I believe the vert's weight an extra 250 lbs due to the extra bracing. SLP also offered a ZL1 with 750 HP. So you are good to go up to at least 750 hp without extra bracing.:headbang:

I heard the delay gm had on delivering the vert was due to the twisting issue. If they spent an extra year to develop the car to resist movement you should have no issues even on a heavy modded car. But if you are really concerned talk to ted jannetty. He has put the power in these cars and knows all issues
