Have you ever run out of gas in your Camaro?

So I'm driving down the road and have like 15 miles to go and my "Low Fuel" light comes on, I figure going 70 mph and I average 20-25 mpg I should be fine. So I wasn't too concerned. I did make it and filled up my tank and put in 16 gallons. If our cars have an 18 gallon tank, that means there is 2 gallons left when the low fuel light comes on right?

So has anyone pushed it and actually ran out?

I been driving for over 40 years and have not ever ran out of gas. 1/4 is empty for me.

42 years for me, and never ran out of gas.

It doesn't cost anymore to drive around on a full tank than it does to drive around on empty.

43 years.

Once my wife ran out, but that was because someone siphoned her tank.

I've watched many Seinfeld episodes, but I must've missed this one. Funny! Thanks for posting!

1/4 is empty for me on a long drive. I'll go down to the edge in town.

44 years driving here - ran out once when I was young and dumb and the gas guage in my '63 Studebaker wasn't working. Plus, I think that was around the time gas prices skyrocketed up to 70 cents a gallon so I was milking every mile out of it between fillups. I haven't had my Camaro below a 1/4 tank, and don't intend to.

Same here, never run out of gas,I also always fill up every time my tank is 1/4-1/2 half empty.
On the other hand I have a buddy who constantly runs out of gas.
What gives.

My Dad used to run out of gas a LOT. When my Mom would get on him he would simply say, "It'll quit when it runs out". And, sure enough, it did - often. Never could figure him out on that. A conservative natured degreed and licensed engineer, running out of gas on a regular basis. I guess it was the Kramer Syndrome. Once cars graduated to fuel injection, he learned real quick to not run the tank dry. Never ran out again for the remainder of his driving years.

yes. right at the driveway to roll into the Costco Gas Station. I had to ask the attendant to push me to the pump.

No because my Camaro came with a low fuel indicator light.
