lq9 swap
Hey guys, i don't know if you all remember me but this is where i first started out. I was waiting for thew new camaro when i saw some people on here who did ls1 swaps and stuff like that. tag ur it directed me to a few places and next thing you know i do a huge swap on my truck lol . i wanted to do a ls1 swap, then i was like hm, i might as well do a lq9 swap and mod it later. :chevy: so after months of research and a lot of moding and a month at nelson performance my my swap is done. i have a head problem though thanks to the guy who scamed me on my motor an tranny :barf: but ill fix it and get it running right. so here it is my 98 lq9 4l80e swap :happyanim:

very nice, any ideas on what it runs in a quarter mile?

very common swap, usually more economical than a LS1 swap :D

in a 04 rcsb with the lq9, tune headers exhuast, cam rods and springs, he ran mid 12's.. these motors have so much tq its amazing for these small trucks. i mean it never wants to stop going :burnrubber: i was getting about 17 MPG in it with the bad head. i put around 300 miles on it. |
