Suggestions for Striping Shops

- I'm East of Toronto (Oshawa area) and looking for suggestions for a good place to take my ride for some striping.

- Anywhere in the GTA will do, I just want a good reputable place.

- Any help is appreciated!

If you want them painted on George Biggs, at Body by Biggs is the guy.
He's done several cars here on C5.
He did a full repaint on my car in the spring.

- Painting would be the preferred way, but I was thinking Carbon Fibre strips on my black.

I'm getting some hood spears painted with a little airbrushing from a guy who works out of Don Butt Auto Body in Oshawa. The body shop will do the clear after. The airbrush guy is found at rcpairbrushing.com.

- Thanks Vipercar!

- Be sure to post some pics, and I'll check out the site!

They were pricy compared to some of the prices I have seen other people post on here for painted stripes but it was worth it. Hey, they paint quarter million dollar cars, I trusted them to paint my Camaro. They also painted and installed my heritage grill and did some custom work for me on the rear bumper and exhaust ports.

If you are thinking of doing vinyl instead of paint, you can try the guys at 3M Trim-line of Metro West in Mississauga. The first year I had the car they put a set of Bumble Bee Vinyl stripes on for me and did a great job. They did my window tint and clear bra as well. http://www.trimlineinc.ca/?page_id=74

Has anyone on here used 3M Trimline in Oshawa?

I haven't seen anyone post about their work. Wasn't/Isn't there a company in Oshawa that does the vinyl stripes for GM on all the Camaro's? Are they open to the public?

The place that does the striping for GM is an offshoot of GM I think?
They used to be in behind Royal Distributing in Whitby.
I haven't been by there lately. Maybe I'll drop in and ask??

Thanks!

Hey Monte,

I had Trimline in Oshawa do the stripes on my '02 Z28 back in early 2003. They did a GREAT job designing and installing them (they were purely custom ... as per my VERY specific request ;) ... and they spent quite a bit of time getting them done RIGHT).

I ended up having the whole car re-painted in 2010, but had the stripes PAINTED on this time. However, to do the stencil, I went BACK to Trimline, and they went to the paint shop, RE-APPLIED a "temporary" set of stripes (a less "sticky" vinyl) and all done based on the original file they saved in 2003. Did a PERFECT job again :headbang:.

I also had them do a "clear bra" on the 2010 Corvette I had ... great work again. I would ABSOLUTELY go to them, especially since you're in the area ;).

They're at the corner of Wilson Rd. and Wentworth. I don't know if they're still called "Trimline" anymore, or if they're "Get WRAPPED" or something like that??? But same guys running it (at least, it was the same guy in 2010 as it had been in 2003!).

EDIT: you can see the car in my avatar, but if you'd like better pictures, shoot me your e-mail and I'll gladly send you some samples.

I called them, and they're gonna fix me up! Thanks Cap'n!
