Poll: lets count ZL1 buyers on Camaro5
#1 Buying a ZL1 for sure.
#2 Buying a ZL1 if the price is right. #3 Considering buying a ZL1. #4 Would love to buy a ZL1, but probably not. This way we can get an idea how many enthusiasts on the site are buying or possibly buying a ZL1, and also how many are interested in the ZL1, and probably contributing to the interest level, but not necessarily buying. Maybe this gives an idea somehow as to how the ZL1 production will work out demand vs supply? |

I clicked "Buying a ZL1 for sure ", but I need to put the disclaimer of "As long as it isn't ridiculously priced" AND its performance lives up to my expectations.
My idea of "ridiculously priced" is a base price of $60K or more. I'm in the group that thinks the BASE price (without options or "market adjustment") will be around the $50K range. The further the base price is over $55K, the more I'll consider my "options". If it makes it to $60K, I think I'll probably have to pass. My performance expectations are simple: Under 12 second 1/4 miles, the slower it is than 11.99 the more possibility that I'll reconsider, with my "definitely pass" point being anything over 12.3. And these are "real" and realistic 1/4 times....none of this below sea-level, winter air, drag radial, "factory freak" crap either. I'll :emoticon14: so that I can hopefully :headbang:. |

I don't think anyone will choose none. I won't have a ZL1 for many years, but I hope to eventually get one. I don't see how you can beat the deal with any other car except for maybe a GT500 depending how the new one preforms. I love when people say it cheaper to get a 1SS and a supercharger. They forget to include magnetic ride suspension, fully upgraded interior, the new front fascia, the quad exhaust, light weight rims, new hood with functional heat extractor and most importantly the warranty. I can't wait for my time to come |
I am considering one. I don't think it will be very easy to get one without dealers trying to gouge every extra nickel they can out of us though. Also considering a Corvette and the GT500. I would prefer 4 seats because of my two boys but if the price is the same as an 08-09 ZO6, I would have a difficult time not getting the Corvette. I have been thinking about this for a long time now. Going back and forth with all three cars in my head. I wish the visibility were better in the camaro. That "C" pillar is huge!

As long as my dealer sticks to his word and as I had him document MSRP is locked, I should be fine.

#1. As soon as I can without paying a markup.
