Camaro 2009 vs 2010 vs 2011

Can any1 tell the main technical differences between Camaro 2009, 20010 and 2011? :)

TaylorRyanSS 01-27-2011 02:08 PM

there was no 2009 Camaro

MikeSVX 01-27-2011 02:09 PM

Well for starters there was no 2009. Except for the prototype.

The only difference I am aware of is the HUD for the 2011 LT and SS which was not available on the 2010's. I am not sure if the HUD is available on both the 1 and 2 LT and SS or just the 2 LT and SS.

Also, early model 2010s did not have backup sensors or GM Chicklets on the side.

But they did have the GM Performance Division badge under the hood...

I removed my chicklets the week before they announced they'd no longer be put on the cars.

the 2010 Camaro had a couple oddities no longer in 2011 or later model 2010 Camaros.

GM Performance badge under the hood
GM Chicklet on front fenders
Flat weights on SS brembo brakes
Aqua Blue Metallic (best Camaro Color )

Summit White was added to 2010 mid-year
Synergy Green Edition Camaro was available in 1LT fashion only (green seat stitching only unique feature)
Transformers Edition available across LT and SS trims (I think)

Late model 2010 2LT and 2SS models saw the addition of:
Parking assist system (with not so pretty bumper dimples)

2011 Changes that I know of
HUD for 2LT and 2SS
Synergy Green expanded to full lineup (without stitching or door inserts, but they can be bought through GM directly)
Upgraded PDM (Different voice, onstar mylink cell phone capability)
Rear defrost automatically comes on when freezing outside
Option of adding Convenience & Connectivity package to 1SS (finally)
Convertible added mid-year

Don't forget the new Synergy Series Cars coming in the month of February. If I'm not mistaken, and also the end of Synergy Green as a paint option. FINALLY!!!

you have to be more specific, are you talking the 6 cylinder or 8 cylinder. although really no major changes in either models. there are slight differences such as rear bowtie has holes in the trunklid on the 2010 and in 2011 the do not have holes so if you were going to want to remove that item you would want a 2011. typically most cars have a few issues with the first model year especially in a radically new design. i would be curious as to how much a camaro cost in russia. I have several friends in russia. my buddy stanislov dotsenko should be here next week from moscow

can you please share a pic of the Russian 2009 Camaro?

65000-67000$ for new V6, 86-88000$ for V8. And i have a choice, either buy a new 2011 v8 or 2010 v8 (produced winter 2009) with minimum km for 65000$.

Woohoo!!! Love the fact that this color will not be seen all the time. I get so many compliments, and I like the fact that it is pretty rare and will stay that way.

don't forget about the onstar app. only available for the 2011 and future camaro's.
