giive me a break

So the dealer didn't remove the spacers so I am getting them removed tomorrow. However, as I'm driving, twice, a loud thud type nnoice came from the front left wheel. Any explanations?

No clue, could be related to the front spacers being in....there are none in the rear. I would have it checked out when you bring it back in to the dealer.

The spacer thing is not uncommon they did it to mine also.

last I remember there was a sticker on window reminding the dealers to remove them.

Also in the PDI doc which they did not read. They needed to install a piece of the under belly guard in front of each front wheel so check that. You can find the PDI doc on the site somwhere.

So I took it to another dealer and they were in disbelief that the other dealer had failed to perform the proper final inspection and remove the spacers. They said no damage was done and the car should be fine. Thank goodness

I would then take that to another dealer to confirm that no damage was done and the car will be fine. Seems like they may be trying to cover for the other dealer (if they were both GM dealers)

Yes, both GM dealers however, the dealer that took them out wrote down the dealers info and my cars information...maybe to report them?:iono:

Another thing that bugged me..the mechanics weren't giving me the spacers and kept saying, "when are you ever going to need them? You won't be towing this car" I had to argue with them in order to get the spacers back.

What dealer was this?

2010 SSRS 11-08-2012 09:59 PM

wow, how can they be that careless, they should all know about the spacers by now.

The PDI instructions state that the spacers are suppose to go in the glove box prior to delivery. If they were doing their job and read they would have done that.

And yes a lot of people right now put the car up on trailers. I do it all the time myself.

The owners manual says to use the spacers also, so they should be in the car.
