Lifter noise

My Camaro has lifter noise. It doesn't do it all the time, and it doesn't have to be cold to do it. Dealer said that they could not get it to do it, I just wanted it on record if something happens later.

I also have a damaged wheel and tire from shipment, still waiting on the replacement. Damage to the driver's seat back (scratch) and that has been fixed.

I also think that the 1/4 panel paint looks darker than the door forward. Could just be the lighting.

Don't like the factory paint stripes. Dull looking and look unfinished. Not like the 69 Cars.

I too thought I had a "lifter noise" issue, but much to my surprise I found it was the V8 engine cover sitting on the passenger side valve cover due to a broken engine cover hook on the driver's side by the firewall.

I could hear the "lifter noise" and make it go away by lifting/pushing on the front passenger side of the engine cover.

I made a temporary repair to the engine cover to make it sit correctly while I'm waiting for my painted engine cover.

It's worth a shot to see if your noise is similar to mine.

My lifters are making a bit of noise, too. I haven't thought much of it because the lifters on my last car were loud as hell.

I took the cover off as soon as I got the car.
