Craftsman Aluminum Floor Jack=Garbage
I was just lifting my camaro up to put the catback on when my $200 4 year old craftsman 4000lbs Aluminum Floor jack blew a seal and slowly lowered the car. I went online to find a rebuild kit and found over 140 reviews about the same thing happening to others.
I use the thing a couple times a year, kinda thought it would last for that kind of money. No help from Sears or Craftsman. So much for a quality product from a reputable company. Buyer Beware on that thing. |
So solly Chinese jack did not last. Be glad you were not under it.

Where do you buy a quality non-chinese jack these days that isn't a down payment on a camaro?

I have one I got from my grandfather over 15 years ago. It just weighs a hundred pounds. Kinda thought craftsman was decent compared to Harbour Freight. Guess not

I've had my 7 1/2 ton Craftsman steel floor jack for probably 10 or so years now. It weighs a metric ton but it's a beast. Never had any issues with it. Sad to see that stuff just isn't made like it used to be. No quality anymore. :(
