Peeling out

I'm not stupid, I know how to peel out, however, this car just won't do it.

Traction control is off, brake on, gas on, slowly let off brake, slight fishtale, let off brake and... nothing. No squeal, no nothing. Lame.

I don't try to do it very often, but you know, there are times that call for it. Tonight called for it and I ended up looking like a chick that doesn't know how to drive.

:mad0259:

What am I doing wrong? I've never had a problem doing this before.

I can peel out alot in mine. Try using the sport mode and pedal all the way down. Then let off brake and watch the magic. Wouldnt try it too much tho bad on brakes and tires

call me, then slap one of these babies on... you will have no problems after that :) (I know, it probably won't bolt up to a sixer)

Seriously though, I have seen many threads where people have this trouble. For example, this one or this one, or this one (2 pages)

That supercharger looks sick Paul.... Dammmnnnn

Are you in an automatic? I didn't know there was a trick to it. In my Formula 350 I just stomped the pedal and shit hit the fan.

The lack of torque in our cars probably means that you can't do that in an automatic. Right?

Not His, it's your large rims and summer tires. They stick like crazy ;) it's a good thing but I hear ya.

That would do it for sure!

But addressing the OP, why would you want to spin the tires? The goal for quick acceleration is to NOT spin. Get the power to the ground with little or no spinning is the goal we spend thousands on....

Install some line locks. Depress the brake, turn em on release the brake and press the gas. Or you will need to do some wieght shift by rolling out a bit then tap the brake to shift the wieght forward off the rear end. Must admit I have never tried a v6 Camaro but have done it with far less powerful cars.

Another one you may want to consider is the Edelbrock E-Force ... It's looks and performance is basically the same as the OEM LS9 setup. And I've seen them listed as low as $5500.00 ...

The 19 wi thall season tires spin like crazy. No hookup at all. If you like that sort of thing switch out youR rs tires for the 19ers.

Peeling out, burn outs & power braking is the old school way of showing off that POWER!

Who the heck doesn't like a good 'ol roasting of the tires. Especially when the tires aren't yours. Haha
