not for me. Doesnt feel right. Can't picture a 1st gen camaro with Ttops. 5th gen is a retro of first gen. This incorporates 3rd gen into the mix. Not feeling it. But to each his own. I dont doubt there is a market out there.

I loved them on my '78 Z-28. They should give Dan on "The Good Guys" one of these and get rid of that warn out TransAm. He could really smoke some tires.

I'd like to see some picks of the undercarriage. I wonder how much weight is added do to stiffening. Looks great but I'll keep my leak free warrantied sun roof myself.

the piece that runs from front to back looks way too skinny....wish it could have been incorporated with the reverse mohawk in the existing roof

good guys!

Are you going to eat that dog?

scythezo6 10-21-2010 02:54 PM

i love t tops but they dont look right on this car to me.

DevilKnightFalcon 10-21-2010 02:56 PM

Not for me. I would love a targa top like the Vette though.

Punk_rider 10-21-2010 03:04 PM

yuck!

RetroDude 10-21-2010 03:06 PM

As a factory option, perhaps. Still feel the T-Top roofs are a bit too 80's for even my liking. :yikes:

Would rather see a removable glass roof like those on the corvette, however, if that was the case .... I would've bought one instead of the Camaro.

Sunroof is just fine for me and a lot cheeper at only $1,195 Canadian.

Looks good though, but glass would show up better in pictures rather than the colour matched panels shown here.

Tiberious 10-21-2010 03:18 PM

I loved 'em in my '95 but I have to agree with the bulk of the folks here that it's about $3k too much, unclear about what the deal is with the roof panels/storage.

Interior pics wouldn't be a bad thing either. I'll stick with my upcoming 'vert....though hard top would be a bit nicer. If I were to spend the money, it'd have to be at least a Targa.

Maybe the designers will take a look at this and implement something similar in the Camaro in years to come. Like others have said, I like the look, but wouldn't go for a kit form for fear of finding parts down the road. At least if it's factory, you'll have either factory parts or copies of factory parts.....

at the rate they've been going with the camaro and camaro convertible it would be about 5 years from now before we got a confirmation that they were working on this project, and another 3-4 after that before it's released, so look for another t-top camaro around 2020.....

seriously how long does it take to make a convertible, ford released the 2010 mustang and it's convertible counterpart at the same time, GM has had way more than enough time to make a convertible, i say quit stalling and release it already. they plan on releasing it in February when it's COLD and no one is going to think, hey maybe i should go buy a convertible so i can cruise with the top down..... oh well, it will probably be delayed again anyway....

at any rate, the conversion looks ok, but something about the painted panels seems wrong, it needs tinted glass or something.

3min3m2 10-21-2010 03:59 PM

Looks awesome! Granted price is a little high...

Camaro_Corvette 10-21-2010 04:04 PM

Looking at this too much is going to make me hurl...

Reverse mohawk ftw!

scrming 10-21-2010 04:10 PM

Like the looks... but as other have stated way to expensive! I had a glass roof but in my Stang for $2500...

1badtie 10-21-2010 04:12 PM

that looks good i dont like rag top convertables and this is a good fix for that!!!!

youngoliver 10-21-2010 04:13 PM

eh

SSINSTR 10-21-2010 04:25 PM

Dead sexy, too bad GM will never release one like it. I could think of better ways to spend that kind of money though

kidddogbites 10-21-2010 04:42 PM

now if only chevy will offer t-tops as an option

Avalnch 10-21-2010 04:44 PM

T-Top were never offered on the 1st Gens (correct me if I'm wrong). So these do look out of place on our "retro-styled" Gen5s. Just think how awkward a '69 SS/RS would look if you hack in a set of T-Tops. Also, weren't all the original T-Tops glass?

svtjackal 10-21-2010 05:10 PM

whoa!!! $6500 to uglyfy your car, no thank you :barf:

chicagojoe16 10-21-2010 05:33 PM

I want to go to there
