change zl1 wheels to flat black

I need some help....I damaged a wheel on a road hazard scuffed and gauged my front whee wheel warranty only covers unusable wheel. One new wheel is $850-1,000. I can have all four re- surfaced in flat black to match my hood insert and stripes. The repair guy said spray chrome is used on my wheels and is illegal for use in ma and couldn't resurface them in factory finish . what should I do save up for a wheel or do the re-surfacing?

You could just plasti-dip them

thx I'll look into that.

you could also just ship the wheel out of state for finish. to me this boils down to you like the factory finish?

yes - get the one wheel finished to match.

no - get all four finished how you like.

plati-dip would be a good way to test colors for you as it is easily reversable. I would not leave my wheels platidiped though I don'think as much as teh brakes dust I think it would be hard to clean.
