ONSTAR may be adding TWITTER capability... cool!

T3.com All — ... intimate thoughts with a loved one. Or even worse, rip into one of your friends. Not that these issues are likely to be a worry just yet. OnStar makes kit for the US rather than UK market - and we're still not sure if this is some kind of early April Fool's gag. But if it is true and it does become available in the UK, think before you get one for your motor - social networks have a habit of being popular one day and ignored the next. You have been warned. :thumbdown:I am all for electronic communications - but adding "twitter" to onstar seems inane.

Bad enough dealing with folks who insist on talking on cellphones without headsets - now they may be trying to figure out which snippet of wisdom to send out on twitter.....

Seems like someone in Onstar marketing department trying to be cool.

This just seems silly.

Oddly enough when I read this I had one of the guys from On Star corporate about 5 feet from my desk, I printed it out and handed it to him.. We both laughed; not happening he says :)

I don't understand this new "Twitter" trend. I tried it. It's stupid. Why is the entire world obsessing over it?? :barf:

I've got a better idea. Give us a proper nav screen.

Because the major news networks are tripping over themselves to whore out any sort of social networking feature they can, to appear cool and trendy. :barf:
