Man I can't believe how much they messed this refresh up. I feel sorry for those buying a 2014 ZL1 with that plain jane rear end. The best looking part of the 2014 Camaro's is the ZL1 front end!

Hey feel as bad as you want for me. Ill be the guy driving a 2014 1LE SS Camaro with hug smile on my face while sitting new Recaro seats.

The RS package elements are now included in the 1LE package. So there won't be a "non-RS" version.

That is incorrect. The RS package is separate from the 1LE just as it was last year. Ask anybody on here that has ordered one.

You mean like me? Yes the 1LE gets the features in the RS package now. It even says it in the original thread this one is based off of.

The 1LE gets the facelifted SS RS front and rear bumpers, while also receiving the new hood vents and maintaining the all-black hood look. These photos also show the new 1LE trunk spoiler, which looks to be shared with the ZL1.
As far as whether or not this is going to be reflected in an increase in cost on the 1LE, we won't know until June.

I like the new rear. The old just looks bulky and the old tail lights look dated and generic.
Were's the splitter? I think it will look bad ass with one. I hope this CTF car is just without.

The 1LE option for the SS will have both a nonRS and RS option. If you're going to make a statement like the one in your OP, please provide proof of this change. I went back to the original thread and this is what is stated - "The 1LE gets the facelifted SS RS front and rear bumpers". That has nothing to do with the RS package which consists of:

(R42) 20" x 8" front and 20" x 9" rear flangeless, painted aluminum wheels with Midnight Silver finish,(with the 1LE this gets replaced with RSK wheels)
(D80) rear spoiler,(with 1LE this get replaced with D52)
(BD8) body-color roof ditch molding,
(T4F) high intensity discharge headlamps and
(T3N) separate Daytime Running Lamps; shark-fin antenna is body-color

The RS package is a $1350 option for MY 2013. Some people opted not to have the RS option, thus the Non RS, got the halogen lamps, roof ditch molding and shark fin in black. Some felt that the RS option was not worth the extra $1350 for HID lamps and the moldings and antenna in body color until they found out how much it would cost to order the HID lamps separately, which is the cost of the package alone.

RS and 1LE = Different packages.

Silver has to be the least flattering colour ever on the Camaro

I didn't order the RS package with mine but the new photos have changed my mind. I'm gonna give it some more time but I will most likely add it to my order.

Personally I like the front on the 2014 SS better.

mcsoul 05-05-2013 01:53 PM

Are the Recaro seats going to be more or less comfortable than standard 2SS seats?
They look more geared towards stopping your body from flying around in a road race than comfort.

I know it's the suede nap, but doesn't it look like a pee stain in the Z/28's front seat? If I got to drive it I'd probably pee my pants too! :)

I will through my two cents in, I don't have a 1LE or ZL1 but I did look at both until I found an SLP ZL575 (the original ZL). And I agree, the 2014, I like the front on the SS but the back blows the whole deal. Love the Z/28 just to pricey.

The 2010-2013 rear and lights will fit fine on the 2014.
