Convertible Trunk Screen

I did the searchs and found nothing, could be Im not naming it right.

My Q is how do you disable the trunk screen so the car thinks its there all the time? Im planning on getting a stealth sub box, and it says you have to remove the screen.

If its not there, the top wont go down. Is there some way to disable that sensor so you can put the top down anyways?

I understand 'why' you want to, but I don't think it would be wise. That screen/shelf is there to give the top a place to rest when it's retracted. There is always a way around things.
Since there is not a sensor on the ends of the screen you pull on I would bet it's in the roll up mechanism somewhere.
Is there some way to work around it or is that the only option?

There's a magnet in one end of the shaft that gets picked up by the sensor. Not sure which end though.

I saw a thread about this a long time ago, but can't seem to find it. I'm fairly certain disconnecting the sensor disables it. So removing the screen will leave your top fully functional.

Yes. I would guess about 75% reduction in wind thus less wind noise.
