1992 z28 pricing

I was thinking about selling my 1992 z28 and I was wondering how much you guys thought it would be worth. It has a 5spd, all power options and about 117,000 miles. It's purple haze, which is a rare color I believe. It runs great and everything works. It has almost new tires and the only rust is around the rear wheels, which I intend to fix before I sell it. Let me know what you guys think it's worth. Sorry I don't have any pics of it at the moment.

Probably between 6 and 10. Need to see pics. Under hood and interior too.

Interior mint? The range is just so big cause so many used cars. It needs to be great condition since it's 17 years old.

Good luck.

I ran then numbers thru Kelly Blue book and it comes up around $3500 bucks retail value if condition Fair (you said body rust so that's normally in the fair).

I paid $3,500 for mine. Its a 91 Z28 with a 305 TPI automatic. Has the original leather interior. The car had been repainted and has 150,000 miles. I got it from the original owner. As for rust, it has some around the ttop area, which is common. I feel like I got a pretty good deal considering the condition of most 3rd gen cars.

Not even close. 5K will get you a mint high mileage 91-92 Z. Deduct from there.

Go over to www.thirdgen.org and search the classifieds to get a very realistic value.

Exactly, for 6-10k the Z28 better have 30-60k miles. I passed on a loaded rustfree CA 130k mile 1992 L98 Z28 hardtop for $1700 last summer, still kicking myself. :chevy:

As we say over at TGO, there are too many variables involved in giving an estimate. What one believes to be mint is "ok" in someone else's eyes. You have not provided photos, options or really anything to work with. The purple haze doesn't add any value at all. Based on your description, I'd say around $2000 site unseen.

i agree with scott, 2000 is a good starting point, if its in amazing condition you can add a little, if its in ok condition then it goes down, i paid $500 for my 60,000 mile 89 rs 2 years ago, and i would have considered it in good condition with no rust when i bought it,but i got lucky with that price
