It seems to me that GM built everything before and after the Z/28. We have the SS we have the ZL1 then a big empty hole then the COPO.. The Z/28 should be between the ZL1 and the COPO. And the 1LE fits in there somewhere. LOL

GM has already designated the ZL1 as the then and now Ultimate Camaro.

Also from a marketing standpoint the price gap is between the 1LE $40K and the ZL1 $55K. That is the gap to fill.

Just curious why everyone on the board is always so excited about the z/28 over the SS? I'll explain why I'm asking...maybe it's performance related or I'm just not well educated enough in the differences between Z/28 and SS.

...ok, we'll just leave it at that...we want a Z/28....in a Gen5 form, with a LS7...the SS VS Z/28 argument had been played out so many times we need a taxidermist to re-do the dead horse.

Are there any specs on the 1LE yet?

Nothing official numbers wise. The only thing we have heard is that it will pull 1G in corners..... Impressive for a "stock" Camaro but they CAN do better. That is where us Z/28 faithful hope we are heading. ;)

Back in my day everyone in my town wanted an SS of some sort if they were chevy nuts.

I ran Mopars back then so I didn't really care for any of them. I've since then found a love for Many of them.
