Yes we're not looking to just win we want to WIN!

I love the smell of...

Does this help? (Not my idea of course)

Corvette / Camaro
Base = SS
Grand Sport = 1LE
Z06 = Z28
ZR1 = ZL1

What motor, SC, HP, TQ, all the good stuff. But at 40K is it just an upgraded SS?

It appears from what has been released up to this point that the 1LE is an SS option with an enhanced suspension for better handling, it appears that it will have the SS LS3 engine which may or may not have slightly more HP, it has some different hood/paint treatments, etc. That is what can be gathered from what they have released so far, they have not released all of the details yet, so info is not complete at this time.

Seeing that kind of stuff and "The Book" helped me choose the SS over the Coyote Ford. Good decision.

...different strokes for different folks....I'm sure it was for your crew, it was the same for my mine as well. Collectively we have an assembled group of guys who share the same passion and interest for the Z/28. I am sure all our buddies had different cars no different than yours. We are all car guys, and appreciate bad rides. I know I did. Z/28 was and is something something special to us that has carried a deep connection with the brand throughout our lifetimes. We just want it back, as bold as it can be. Not a SS. Anything wrong with that?

It was the sub 3 Minutes at VIR that got my attention. But aren't there two different track lengths there depending on the corner arrangement?

Very true and I wasn't knocking the Z/28 by my statement. It's just that going fast in a straight line was what we did. Now a days I would rather have the Z/28 with SS power. OH Wait, that's why I'm getting a ZL1. :laugh:

Unfortunately, even though I live in VA I can't answer that one for you, I just have not been to VIR and am not that familar with it.
