HUD Display

The HUD Display was changed out by the dealership because it was out of focus. The new one is brighter but still out of focus. Is it just me? When the dealership replaced it they said it was fix. Now what?

Thanks

I have never heard of the HUD having a focusing problem maybe the problem is the projection area within the windshield.

since it is a special windshield maybe it has some oil on it, which would make it fuzzy..Just thinking...

someone need glasses? not being a smart ass, just asking.

All the above are valid questions/comments. The only thing I would add is; have you driven at least one other Camaro with HUD to compare?

Does anyone else sitting in the seat think its blurry?

That's what I was wondering.

Wrong windshield, dirty , or some dirt or something on the projector itself in the dash maybe?

Did you buy your car new or used? Has the windshield ever been replaced? Did the problem recently develop or has it been this way from the beginning? Do you smoke? If so, do you smoke in your car or allow others to? By answering these questions, I think we can get you on track to get this problem fixed.

I don't need glasses, but thanks. I would like to sit in another Camaro just to see if this really the best quality or if mine is still fuzzy. I have asked this question before "How do you know if you have the correct windshield?" No one smokes in or around any of my vehicles. We did buy the Camaro used.

Thanks

To check if your Windshield is OEM go to the passenger side of the car and look at the bottom of the glass the OEM manufacturer is PILKINGTON.

But how do you tell if the windshield is the correct HUD windshield? Is there a P/N on the windshield somewhere that he can look for and referance at a dealership? Even a correct aftermarket windshield should have the coating on it for the HUD, but how to tell?

If I'm not mistaken, the area on the windshield where the HUD displays will actually have a different finish to it.
