Wall Street Journal
Not to keep beating a dead horse, and I realize that we'll probably see it here in the forums right after the dealerships get the pricing, but there was a recent article in the Wall Street Journal on the re-birth of muscle cars. It was referring to the Mustang, the Challenger and the Camaro ZL1 specifically. It also had a base price of $45K listed as the "estimated" base price of the ZL1..... has anything new been leaked out? Still waiting with baited breath for the release of the ZL1 and if it comes in, (at or around), $45K I might just pull the trigger.

Don't hold your "baited" breath.

Scott one of the very last details to be worked out
will be the MSRP so I believe those comments were based more on the other two cars and not the ZL1. |
$45K?! 'father's already said MT's figure of $47K isn't going to happen, so I'm sure it's safe to say this isn't possible either. I WISH, but given what we know of ZL1, I feel like it's easily justified to find a price about $5K more, pretty easily. That doesn't mean I want to spend that much (nor can, lol), but it's competition is the GT500, so that means the price has to be in-line, too. I expect a little premium over the Pony, but it should be relatively close.

I believe he said he didnt want anyone thinking $43k.....I agree with you that the ZL1 will probably be priced a few grand higher than the GT500. Seems like its taking forever to get any info in this car...:mad0259: |
