Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson accused of uttering racial slur on film

As a fan of the show I'm interested in what the BBC does here. He's basically the face of Top Gear and I can't imagine the show without him. Even Prime Minister David ******* has made a statement about it.

Not sure why that's censored...

Should he have said it? No. But I think people are too sensitive about this stuff nowadays.

FenwickHockey65 05-03-2014 09:57 AM

Jeremy Clarkson has said so many worse things in his career.

Just sayin'.

In my option it's blown way out of proportion.
There's a double standard it seems, and a sad commentary on political correctness.

I agree with all this, it's way blown out of proportion and people are WAY too sensitive these days. People cry and moan about every little thing. Sad really

PHXLT1 05-03-2014 10:26 AM

Yes it was but some one will try to sue.

mikeyg36 05-03-2014 10:54 AM

Oh and I completely agree that it's blown out of proportion.

FenwickHockey65 05-03-2014 11:08 AM

I remember in the last Top Gear special he said something that everyone found racist towards Asians but it died off after a few days.

LBreezie 05-03-2014 11:54 AM

Forgiven. Its not targeting or trying to be offensive. Just some humor that was blown out of proportion. If we can put up with rappers saying it all the time, why can't we put up with it on TV? I'll tell you what though if he does get fired I will be very sad to see him leave over this.

Today, I learned that Donald Sterling is a C5 member!!!

Also, what was Clarkson doing reciting lines from Pulp Fiction...

Ignorance rears it's ugly head; blown out of proportion? I think not, nor is this a 'new' taboo thing. I like him as a host so I hope he keeps his job, prolly end up doing the cliche' sensitivity classes.
