Any Armored Core fans here?
 

I don't really expect many people (if any) to respond. I am honestly the only person I know that plays the games.

Anyways the new one is out, and I'm thinking about picking it up. Supposedly it has revitalized the series. (I'll see about that, cause the last few games were poor at best) My only problem is the game seems to be surrounded by online play, and it looks like I need a team to even start. :iono: If the campaign sucks (which my expectations are telling me it will) I'm going to want to play some online. :D

Anybody have it? Anybody want to save me 60 bucks and tell me its horrible?

I am, well I was. Think it was the first game I bought for my PS2 when I bought that. So that tells you how long its been since I've played anything on the console. Think it was AC2.

But I loved the game when I had it. Something about getting in a Mech and shitting on other mechs was fun as hell. I loved the fact that you built your mech ground the ground up. My logo was the old Camaro logo, which took me forever to make.


Will I buy the new game? I dont think so, but if anybody whos never tried a Mech type game, should really rent the next AC thats coming out.

Thought about buying it, but read the campaign wasn't that great when playing alone. MP is ok, i just like the single-player experience better in general. If you get it, let us know how it is.

Is it really called Armored Core? You would think it would be Armored Corps (pronounced the same way).

I didn't see this until now...
But I'm a fan of the series

Because Corps refers to an army or a large formation of individuals. If you actually played any of the AC's you would understand why it is named the way it is.

Oh, so these are games. Are they played with cards, or on a board with dice?

As far as I know they started out on PC and have since become pretty much exclusive to console systems. And CC I am a huge fan of the series!!!
