IS MY CAR MISSING A PART ???

Was looking at the air box on my 2ssrsls3 today in prep for the cai that I have coming and the tube on the bottom of the air box that pionts toward the grill has foam glued around it like another tube should slip over it.

I dont see how enough air is pulled in through this tube, it just ends behind the headlight ???

Am I missing a piece of ducting ???

Nope, it sounds correct. The foamy part is the end of the line.

I took mine out and it looks exactly as you described, which is why many are going with aftermarket cold air's

On the Airaid CAI, you reuse that piece of duct. It transfers over to the new Airaid box....
