C5FEST past and present...or ermmmm future

I saw the thread that is 27 pages of posts about how everyone is excited for the fest... which don't get me wrong...I am also! but there's no general info that I could find.. there should be an FAQ. Like what is included with entry, is there a vendor area or spot for sponsored cars... is it like a huge car show where each car will have a designated spot or just a meet? or is it too far out for this kind of info? and I'd still like to find some stats from last year..how many people went, what vendors showed up... what type of events went on etc

Yes I agree, this is my first C5Fest and I kinda would like to know a lot more specifics as well. The only thing I've heard from last year was what I read from GM Performance a little tid-bits on the forums. I really would like to know how many cars showed up last year which vendors were present etc.? I know that plans and arrangements are still being made for this year but a general write and list of things from last would be helpful.

Yes... I would say it's too far out for this kind of info? I would think any new information on the C5F2 should be posted on the C5 homepage... if not, Keep checking back here:

You should be able to find all the information you are looking for on last years C5F here:

We're still working out all the nitty-gritty details. So we haven't posted anything 'official' outside of the tentative schedule and entry fee information. But it's coming! Keep an eye on the Camaro5Fest section of the site, as we'll put any major announcements in here!

I'll try to answer your questions as best I can here.

Like what is included with entry,

is there a vendor area or spot for sponsored cars...
There will be a vendor area, where our sponsoring companies can display their product and a few Camaros they have installed their stuff on. No separate "sponsored cars" area, though.

is it like a huge car show where each car will have a designated spot or just a meet?
It'll be a little bit of both. There are no designated spots...(i.e. You don't NEED to park 3" from the tree on the left.) But it'll be one big, massive car show nonetheless. There is also a pseudo mini-show at the hotel each night as people drive back, park, and hang out in the lots with one another. It's a real great time!!!

I'd still like to find some stats from last year..how many people went, what vendors showed up... what type of events went on etc

Well...we had roughly 1000 people in all attend last year And close to 500 cars. We had an open drag strip and auto-x during the day, with with a small grudge match event in the evening, a mobile dyno was offered there was a cruise through the town of Valdosta, and a parade lap around the oval track. There was a very large vendor-showing, a car show with prizes awarded by several folks including people from the Camaro team at Chevrolet, and a breakfast Sunday morning to thank everyone and conclude the festivities.

I'm forgetting a TON of other stuff that happened...but we had a GREAT time!!! :D
