Carbon Flash Metallic 2012 Camaro ZL1 Up for Auction This Sat. at Barrett-Jackson

This Saturday (September 24, 2011) at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Las Vegas, NV, a very unique 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be offered for auction. This particular model will be the only 2012 Camaro ZL1 in Carbon Flash Metallic. It will also feature a VIN that honors the original ZL1’s – a VIN ending in 00069. Only 69 of those first ZL1’s were produced in the 1969 model year. All proceeds from the auction’s sale will benefit the YMCA of Southern Nevada.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction kicks off on Thursday, September 22, 2011. As has been the tradition the last couple of years, the auction will be covered live in primetime on the East Coast by SPEED TV. Since the ZL1 auction will be a centerpiece at this year’s Las Vegas auction, a new :30 second ad featuring the ZL1 will debut during SPEED’s three days coverage of the auction.

The point of the ad is to drive consumers to Chevy.com/CamaroZL1. Once consumers arrive at the site, they will be able to view short films on two different development aspects of the new ZL1. These two new short films will be available on the website sometime during the afternoon of Thursday, September 22, 2011.

If you have a customer interested in the new 2012 Camaro ZL1, you may want to encourage them to visit Chevy.com/CamaroZL1 on Thursday. And if you are interested in owning a very unique 2012 Camaro ZL1, then be prepared to bid Saturday. Although subject to change, the ZL1 is scheduled to cross the block sometime between 8:00 to 10:00 PM, EDT. Well, that just about finishes off the contest to see who will own the first ZL1. Radz28 has been saving hard, so he will be tough to outbid. I knew something was up when he had not put down a deposit at a dealership. That sly dog is going to beat all of us to the punch. I want the first ride in your ZL1 Radz !!!

I would bid on it, but Carbon Flash is not my first color choice.

will probably keep getting resold to raise more money, have seen that done at some of the specialty cars at this auction. Will be the 5th owner when all said and done!

Well...let's see...the first ZR1 went for a cool Mil...so I am going to throw my guess into the ring at $425,000. 1 of 1 and the ZL1 moniker are going to drive this one high.
