Bomex Camaro ULTRA Widebody

5 Attachment(s)
Hi.

From the SEMA, there was a widebody modification on the Camaro from Bomex. I know, some will like it, some will hate it. I love it, it looks like the high performance cars here in Germany (i.e. SL 65 AMG Black Series) but with an american touch

However, does somebody know if this Bodykit is going to be available in the near future? I could not really find some useful information in the web. :iono:

Thank you very much!

Greetz!

No wonder I found nothing, Bomex has different websites...

The one that has some info is here, for the ones who are interested to:

It reminds me of veilside, but bomex has always been known as the upper tier European body kits, catering to imports. It makes the camaro look like a starfighter spaceship, which means it follows BOMEX's philosophy.

I like it, although would never put it on my camaro.

VenomZ302 12-11-2009 06:01 AM

I'm most interested in their spoiler. I love how it follows the lines of the reverse mohawk.

shad2009 12-11-2009 07:04 AM

that is one sexy camaro:thumbsup:

Blade 12-11-2009 07:37 AM

I dig it. The rims are sweet, are they 21s or 22s? The body kit is one of the best I have seen.

CamaroSkooter 12-11-2009 08:47 AM

And I thought getting in and out of my Camaro now was kind of tricky. Check out the size of those side-skirts!

Definately a wild look :)

Dezperados,

no pricing on line.. but if you do send an inquiry on the cost you should post it up... I’m curious.

TheCaptain 12-11-2009 11:57 AM

That is a nice body kit, with the exception of the huge rear diffuser. They could shrink that and get away with it...

I like it!

purplhaizcraz3 12-11-2009 12:02 PM

I just sent them an inquiry for price and availability for which models (LS, Lt and SS). I should hopefully hear from them in 24 hrs. I'll post the response once I get it.

myold88 12-11-2009 12:16 PM

Awful, awful, awful. The only thing worse than the body mods are the hidious wheels.
Just my opinion of course.

jonnyb 12-11-2009 01:16 PM

Just my opinion, looks like a ricer.

MontyCarlo 12-11-2009 01:37 PM

I wouldn't drive it myself but it's cool to look at. It's very Hollywood sci-fi. It's the car Bruce Willis would use in a cop movie set in 2050, but it's not the car I would drive to work.

scythezo6 12-11-2009 01:52 PM

thing is ugly

CBR1000RR 12-11-2009 01:55 PM

i love it.

2010Camaro2LTRS 12-11-2009 02:01 PM

it looks like they made a design on one of the need for speed games. when i make my 5th gen on those games they always have crazy body kits that i think suck and make the car look horrible, this one isnt bad, its just the rear bumper is a little weird. The front end reminds me of a Saturn Sky Redline. If the doors gull winged up like a dolorean, i would think its a modern day back to the future.

moto-camaro 12-11-2009 02:06 PM

love it, that's sexy as hell. why haven't we seen photos before
it reminds me of the VR camaro, buy way better IMO. way way better.
if they made some changes to the rear quarter panels, with some kind of venting. looks like something missing with those squares there. with that, IMO i think they would have perfected this style.

2010Camaro2LTRS 12-11-2009 02:07 PM

I think they should take that piece off where the gills are.

irocnroll 12-11-2009 02:16 PM

People should be screened before they buy a car and do something like this to it. Its an abomination. The only halfway decent thing about this entire car is the rear spoiler.

CamaroSkooter 12-11-2009 02:22 PM

^^ Awe, that's just mean :)

You know, I'm sitting here looking at the pictures and wondering, if this truly is a body kit, where are the lines that seperate what was factory and what is body kit?

I don't see how this could just be stuck onto a factory car without some heavy panel modification...

I doubt its a kit, especially on the rear quarters. If you looked at some of the other "Wide Body Kits", they were panels welded on to the car. Someone on here posted progression photos and it was a lot of metal working that went into it. I am sure this is the same thing.

orange10s.c. 12-11-2009 02:27 PM

I love it but that's the stuff i love to do. They make some awsome kits.

2010 SSRS 12-11-2009 02:28 PM

Looks awesome, I like it.

C4 12-11-2009 02:31 PM

Looks pricy... only way I can see them creating this is, entirely replacing the front and rear quarter panels, replacing the front and rear bumper and maybe adding some paneling to the doors to match up with the wide body. If that’s the case... your basically replacing the entire body of the car. This equals lots of $$$$$.

Personally, I like it, but would never even dream of doing this to my car... would rather spend the money on the motor. And like someone said above.. would look cool in a movie... I was thinking Demolition man myself, maybe I-Robot.:character0293:

DarricSS 12-11-2009 02:39 PM

So glad the Concept Camaro didn't look like that... :barf:

Ditto...

2L8IWON 12-11-2009 02:59 PM

I think that's one unique body kit! Sweet! I like it, but I think the sharp edgy lines on the side vents and the front lower grill need to be rounded off and a fog light kit would do wonders! But really, that's a nice looking setup. Far better than non-Bomex companies have done so far. I would love to be the daily driver of that beast!

kamaro_ken 12-11-2009 03:13 PM

if you're going to make it that wide, why not shove some Hoosiers or MT's out back and drag that bitch

PNYSLAR 12-11-2009 03:15 PM

RICER

Black5thgen 12-11-2009 03:23 PM

I love it, if I were rich and famous I would buy this car and throw hunned dolla billz out the sun roof.

codo 12-11-2009 03:26 PM

this totally freaks me out, I'd definitely get it, I can only imagine what it would look like in some other colours, maybe a nice chameleon paint job

Correct. Most veilside kits were like 1800-2400. Bomex was like starting at 3,200 for a lot of imports. It's VERY elite/exclusive, etc.

I WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS TO MINE!!

garcmol 12-11-2009 03:51 PM

If it were black I would expect Batman to step out of it. Sharp concept though.

Frank in MD 12-11-2009 04:00 PM

Ya know, I'm all for tasteful mods, and making the car your own.... but that's just really damn ugly to my eyes. Sorry.

MikesZ 12-11-2009 04:05 PM

Horrid! :barf:

Autobo+ 12-11-2009 04:26 PM

The new Batmobile.

Miketebo22 12-11-2009 04:30 PM
