Powder Coated LS3 Intake - Sweet

I've known Tracy for years and her vette's have been show stoppers.

Mike does a boat load of Powder Coating for vette community. Calipers are his forte though.

By heating the plastic till it starts to become soft, just not to the point of losing integrity just till it starts to soften.

Taken from the Powder Coater website faq

Can you Powdercoat plastic or wood items?
No, sorry. Since the items have to cure at 400 degrees, the original piece would not survive the high temperatures.
So what's the deal with this intake? Is the LS3 intake metal? Or is that an aftermarket intake?

radz28 11-09-2008 07:56 PM

All the LS-engines have a composite (plastic) intake manifold. Some of the newer ones are even insulated, like the LS3.
