2nd Set of Wheels?

I've noticed that several people are complaining about wheel price and lifespan. Also, sometimes people mention the temperature issues as well (summer tires).

Given this, has anyone considered getting a set of "SS" like wheels/ tire set to drive on when temp gets low, etc . . .

Yup, I bought a set on Craig's List before I even got the Z.

Actually I'm keeping my aftermarket wheels and tires from my 2011 2SS/RS when I trade it in to put on the ZL1 when I put it in storage for the winter and I'll bring the stock ZL1 wheels/tires indoors at home for storage for the winter due to the warnings about temps below 20 degrees F and the ZL1 tires.

That is my plan. I have been keeping an eye out for a set of SS wheels with decent tires.

I'll trade a set of SS wheels and tires for a set of those beautiful black ZL1 wheels :)

I'm assuming they should fit and look good. Would you please post some photos when you do the swap?

I'll try to remember to take photos when the swap is done, but that may not be till October or so depending on the weather and when I decide to store it for the winter.
