Tuners

What are the best brands of tuners? Any one better than the other. Are the HP gains what they claim to be?

Handheld tuners?

Not very good for our cars IMHO.

I would say go custom.. especially if you have mods.

HPTuners or EFILive.. Reputable tuners mostly use these on V8's

only tuner for the v6 is Trifecta.

SCT X3 from Jannetty Racing with one of Ted's custom email tunes. Can't go wrong.

The SCT X3 tuner stores your stock tune in the device so you can flash back to stock at any time.

foxygrandpa55 07-26-2012 10:09 AM

Would it be a good idea to buy the SCT X3 with phasteks custom tune?

bill@hptuners 07-26-2012 11:18 AM

Really depends on what you want.

If you are looking to tune yourself take a look at the HPTuners software/hardware package(starts at only $499)

If you are looking for a canned tune there are options out there as well.

He's alive. He's alive lol

Thanks bill for sending my Email over to Jay. Jay reached out for me Friday.

These guys dont know what they are missing buying these "custom canned tunes" . lol.

I agree. Custom is where its at. Any good tuner will pick up power over a canned tune, and in most cases even a vehicle that has been remotely tuned. Its just best in person period
