Smart Car... on a dyno????!!!! LOL you gotta see this!

Check it out! We had a couple of SMART CARS come in for Dyno
testing last week! I couldn't help myself! I grabbed a video camera
and taped it. I made a couple of videos of it, and blogged about it.

Funny stuff.

The 2nd one actually had headers on it, and at least sounded
pretty tough. It had better HP too than the first one
(which was bone stock).

Brothers Performance Blog
the smart car article is at the top of the page.

Hey, I can appreciate anyone who wants to see what kind of performance
they're getting out of their car, and want to get a baseline established
as they do their mods. But I gotta' admit I was a little concerned that
these SMART cars would even fit on the ramps to get to the Dyno!

LOL!

Friend of mine said that he's got a sewing machine in his closet he'd like to test next!

I didn't realize they were RWD.

Nice vids!

62.5 at the wheels for the stocker, and 72.5 for the one with headers.

62 and 72HP

Sir Nuke 10-15-2009 02:11 PM

a 6.2% Hp gain by just putting on a header on that little thing. PRETTY DAMN GOOD for a skateboard.

If you lived in a real downtown metro area with really tight access, I could see this as a good alternative to a scooter.

I wonder what these things run in an 1/8?

72.5 hp for 1 litre? Not bad, so a 6.2 litre engine would produce 450 rwhp.

they remind me of those toys you used to pull back and let go lol although all joking aside in a congested city they probably are a life saver for inner city travel

I am the only one that feels like playing bumper cars with that thing when they are in front of you??

Oh, did I say that out load? :yikes: :laugh:
