Safe HP Zone on Stock Motor?

I see alot of wicked numbers coming out between cams and blowers, does anyone know how these numbers are effecting the longevity of the motor? I see the other motors in GM's family that have those numbers have upgraded cranks, blocks, etc. Will forced induction drastically reduce the life of my baby?

In my opinion:

You can run 6 psi on your car and still get 75-100k miles out of it if you behave yourself and do not beat on it. Now that being said...I have 6psi on my LS1 and I got over 100k miles before I even started to see any issues with the pistons rings.

On the LS3 I would suspect it is very similar.

I also agree with you that there are some very high numbers out there right now on a stock LS3. I would think that these folks would also admit that they are not expecting their car to be a daily driver, and may only expect 25k miles out of the car. Another issue would be the drivetrain. The stock drivetrain is not going to last very long with 700HP on the flywheel.

Well said .. in working with ADM Performance, he likes to keep his daily driver builds around 550rwhp .. it will let the rest of the drivetrain live a little longer :) We could have gotten more HP/TQ out of it, but since it is my daily driver, I need it to be pretty safe.
