One cool thing about the magnetic jack pad, is they stay in place on the tool box.

And here I wandered around my garage wondering where to stow them:doh: Good tip. Thanks for getting these out so fast!

It was bought to our attention that the ZL1 convertible will take a modified jack pad. If anyone bought the jack pads with a convertable just give us a call and we will send a jack pad made for the front jack opening of the convertables that have the brace that is in the way of the inside tall leg of the jack pad.

We have them in stock and ready to ship.

So when you order make sure you let us know if you have a convertible for any new orders.

My set go where the car goes. They are a perfect compliment to the electric scissors jack I carry in the trunk. I am fully prepared to easily jack the front end of the car so the shipping spacers can be inserted and the tow truck can snatch the car up onto the travel platform without tearing up the front splitter and nose cap. The jack pads are kept in a zip lock bag with the jack. If you're this prepared, you'll never need a tow.

Great product. Thanks John.

They are good to keep with the car when you go to the dealer, they will work good with a lift.

Any hight pad will work with a lift.

You can store them in the trunk with the built in magnet. They will be there when you need them.

Thanks John my pads arrived today. That's fast shipping, out on the 8th and arrived on the 11th. Great place for the pads. The only thing that I'm afraid of is I'll forget where I put them. Right now I'm using your first idea, they're stuck on my toolbox in the open.

There is no way we can pick our ZL1 up with a floor jack by using the owners manual, the manual is for the cars with a jack that comes in the trunk. I even looked in the maint manual and it was confusing also. It's that you do not want to bend the floor pan and have to go so far inboard to get to the subframe.

Many members ask if we can use the jack pads with jack stands?? You could but I would not recommend it. It is better to put the jack stands under the sub frame and use the jack pads to jack the car up. If you want to put the jack stands at the pinch weld you can but no need for the jack pads, the jack stands are small enough to fit inside the rocker covers. The pads are made to keep a large top lift or floor jack from crushing the lower rocker cover.

We now have jack pads for the late model Mustang, Corvette, Challenger and Charger.

Greg

Found a low profile electric jack on FleaBay that was capable of lifting 2000kG.

Sorry, but I don't have a link.

Cheers - Major Boyd

Link is www.zl1addons.com

For the jack pads and for the splitter guard washers.

John, does the jack pad make contact just on the pinch weld, on either side of pinch weld, or all three points?

It makes contact with the bottom of the pinch weld and the inner floor pan. The opening in the lower panel is for a jack with a slotted top to just pick up on the pinch weld. Our ZL1s do not have a jack or any correct info on how to jack the car up. I have the complete manual and the owners manual and they do not give correct info. So I came up with the jack pads so I could lift my car with a lift or floor jack.
