IPS TT Kit -- 795HP on STOCK LS3!!
We completed tuning today on our prototype Twin-turbo Kit and even in the 90+ degree heat and 80%+ humidity the car made 663rwhp and 649 ft/lbs on pump gas and 8psi. Properly corrected (SAE) the car actually made 689rwhp but even that number is a bit off due to the extreme heat in the shop (Dyno graphs show it was 96 degrees lol). It is no secret how Turbo / FI cars hate heat so we plan on doing a final pull or two in "Normal" conditions if the opportunity presents itself this week.
At just 5psi the car made 581rwhp and 564 ft/lbs in "Valet" or base-boost mode and then we followed that up with the 8psi pulls today. We didn't push the car in terms of any further peak numbers due to the rough conditions in the shop today but some timing tweaks really bumped the torque in the mid-range a substantial amount. The 8psi graph is here: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1190/...d85c0499_b.jpg The 8psi graph as compared to stock is here: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1351/...f9c3244f_b.jpg The 8psi graph compared to the 5psi graph is here: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1163/...fc68dcf7_b.jpg Here is an interesting graph showing the "Lag" or spool-up similarities between our Twin-turbo Kit at 8psi and a Cammed / Header / D1 Procharged 2010 SS 6-speed also running 8psi: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1160/...fcbda9cf_b.jpg Here is a graph comparing the TT kit to a BIG heads/cam car with a FAST and all the usual bolt-ons: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1239/...15947d26_b.jpg I am working on getting the actual kit pics off the camera and pricing and options and such up this week as well. In the mean-time I wanted to get the graphs posted and info on what is included in the kit posted up. The "Basics" of the kit are as follows: 1. Garrett / Tial Turbos (Your choice of GT3076R / GT3582R / GT3586R) all come standard Ball-bearing and only option is a Billet / HTA upgrade. All three turbo options are the same price so up to a 62mm wheel is "Standard". 2. Tial V-band housings in 1.03 or 1.06 A/R standard. 3. Garrett compressor covers featuring 4" inlets standard. 4. 4" Thick Bar & Plate FMIC Core. 5. Tial 44mm WG's and Tial "Q" Blow-off Valve. 6. 304 Stainless hot-side tubing. 7. Aluminum cold-side tubing. 8. Aluminum Intake Tubing to K&N Filters. 9. 3" Stainless downpipes to 3" or 2.5" exhaust. 10. Vac block & PCV / Catch-can included. 11. Oil return pump and timer. 12. Upper / Lower intercooler deflectors 13. Polished aluminum charge-pipe (Can be powdercoated as well) 14. EV14 91Lb Injectors and NEW MSD Boost-a-Pump I am sure there is more but you get the idea... Pics to come and will be added with the graphs here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ipsmoto...7624216913609/ |

I remember seeing this setup being made when I got my car dyno tuned there.... very sick setup.
I may trade my motor for a stock ls3 just to get my hands on one of these kits this winter.... |
Kit says it comes with a boost a pump... do you need one to run the low 5 psi?
|
This is the best resulting kit I've seen so far for Camaros. Top notch components and from the result, it looks well engineered.

Jeff, how do you control the boost, via WG spring? So you provide different springs or Boost controller?
Don't forget pic of FMIC. |
The results for this kit look great! Very impressive.
Is the 795 hp number at the crank when the kit is running 8 psi? |
