What interesting things have you done with the strut tower brace

Just wondering what to do with it? By default it is a grey metal look, and I would like to do something to make it "pop"!
Post any pics or ideas please!!! |

I smoothed out the cast textured finish on the ends and painted them gloss black. I wet sanded the center section with 320 and 600 paper and followed it up with mothers aluminum polish to a chrome like finish. Do a search in the cosmetic and lighting section under strut tower brace. You'll find a thread with lots of pictures.

I had mine painted victory red with black ends and the phrase "Sinful Heaven" placed across the top. Chevy used that phrase in the 2013 ZL1 pamphlet to describe the convertible. Thought it was a "spot on" description.

Thanks Guys! It's a cheap mod anyone can do. All it takes is alot of "Elbow grease". ;)

Those 2 look awesome, but with my car being black, and I am a little loss of what to do with it. I have stuck with pretty much black in the engine compartment, so I am not sure if this will look good black also, or if another color would work. The Silver is an interesting choice though...

All the pics look awesome. Nothing like having some more ideas.

I searched through the cosmetic and lighting section and found some good ideas, but nothing that really stood out to me. It makes it somewhat easier when you have a car other than black, but I really didn't see any ideas for black cars?

Try picking a secondary color like red, or blue for the engine bay. Then you can paint the engine and fuse box covers and the strut tower ends in that color to give the bay a little pop.

I had it painted to match the stripes on the car. Hennessey did a great job of matching the inferno orange. I have since painted the top of the bolts for the mounts black to match.

The choices are endless. Just try something. If you do not like it, try something else.
