Has anyone super or turbo charged V6?

Has anyone with a v6 supercharged it or turbocharged it yet? I know people are planning on it etc. but has anyone actually done it? Im most likely going to purchase a supercharger once my car comes in.

youd know it if anyone did it

nothing concrete yet. a few companies are working on a single and dual turbo application for the v6. Zex currently has a nitrous setup for the v6. other than that, most companies are primarily focusing on the v8's for now as they will be the money hogs.

There has been some serious interest in modifying that V6. It is a relatively virginal motor, so it seems as though a lot of performance shops are waiting for someone else to really push it to the limit.

I wouldn't worry. That LLT is amazing. There's still a lot of good to come from the aftermarket for it.

All this talk about tuning difficulties is really starting to confuse/irritate me. I know little about engines. I'll put that out upfront. Am I wrong in thinking that GM knows how to tune this engine? Certainly they went through and did a little tuning and didn't just drop the engine in. Wouldn't it stand to reason if they were able to do it then others would be able to in a reasonable time frame? I know they've had their hands on the engine for a long time but wouldn't they parlay some of that knowledge to the tuning community?

And what goes into a "tune"?

Thanks... I had to promise the wife I would NOT mod this car and build a show car / race car like I did with my 2005 V6 Stang (that nice yelllow one... which by the way the official Ford color is Screaming Yellow, hence my name and my lic plate)...

Picked the car up on a Wednesday, drag strip on Sunday, stopped a the auto store on the way home from the track and bought a nice black license plate frame (1st official mod!), whacked the mufflers out the next Friday, tinted the back 3 windows the next Tuesday... LOL!

Actually got away with the exhaust mod for almost 3 days before she noticed... LOL

There are over 600 tables for fueling alone. There are 5 discreet modes of operation for DI.
I have been working/tuning with the LNF since it was released. The calibration file in the PCM is over 3 meg. It is HUUUUGE! and has more redundant checks and nannies then you can shake a stick at. It has its own quirks/conditions that erupt that are VERY different from PFI motors.

Gm doenst want to leak out tuning info, it's a emissions & longevity liability for them. Hell the PCM is bosch calibrated AFAIK and the suite used to calibrate it is owned by bosch and licenced to gm.
In time I bet there will be "stage" kits from GM. Exhaust, pcm cal, etc.
But I highly doubt that there will be any GM based FI setup for the 6.

Yep, don't want to upset the V8 guys.... In 2011 Ford will be moving from the 210 HP 4.0L V6 to the 270 HP 3.7L V6... should have made the 350HP 3.5L TT EcoBoost an option.... but no probably don't want to upset the GT guys... so, the heck with Ford (and the ugly 2010 rear end).... went with the Camaro instead! :headbang:

Done ranting... LOL

I've already registered and posted... but perhaps the rest can register and express your interest:

Also, being able to tune for some new gears, like say 3.73s might be nice... hehehehe...
