Well, I was thinking $54,200 but that probably is way low. I could see this being a two year run unless the LS7 will fit in an Alpha body.

I am going to go with $59995 base before the AC option and any gas guzzler taxes...
$61705 base price.
54,900
$52K Base + A/C ($1.5K) + GGT ($2k?) + ($10K) ADM = $65.5K
Even at this price Z28s will sell out quickly. I added the A/C because sitting on the feed road to a track is very uncomfortable on a 100+ F day in the summer. Not all of us are made of iron and have ice in our veins. |

O.K. lets start with a 2ss 37k + 5k motor + 5k brakes +3k wheel package +2k air =52k +10k in market adjustment( dealer's way of screwing us) =62k

$37k is the base price of a 1SS 1LE though. The motor is more than $5k, at least double that, brakes are closer to $10k+, tires alone on this car will be more than $2k so you're probably looking at $5-6k for wheels and tires, $3k for Recaros, $5k for body components and $900 for exhaust. That's $71k for just those items. |
Base 1LE = $37K
Base ZL1 = $54K Base Z28 = 46K ? |

You won't have one in your garage then.... The Z28 will be over $60k at a minimum...the motor is expensive, the carbon brakes are expensive, hell the tires are probably $2500 alone....this is going to be priced out of a lot people's budget.... |
I would think the price will be above the ZL1 over $60k, but I'd love to see it be only $50k or less, then I'd have to be all in for a 2015 model. Even if it is a Manual only.
$63,950 base
$125,000...haha. You can't get it if you don't ask for it, right?
Ok, so that's a little high, but It's DEFINITELY going to be the highest priced Camaro ever. My real guess is 69,995. |
I'm going to say around $50-55k since the ls7 cost about $10-12k. I'm glad its back thooooo
I will bet somewhere in the range of $47,899 - $49,095 ......
Scott said 50k, not even realistic! See post 72...
42,589 low but good wishful thinking without a/c of course!
If you are right about it being the highest priced Camaro ever, that will be fine with me making the beloved ZL1 even less collectible..... I really don't think it will be $60,000+, that would make the market for the Z/28 even more narrow.... I'm sure they would love to sell more Z/28s over the High priced ZL1... I think somewhere in the Upper $40,000 range....
My guess is $44,995.
$1.00 ...... just like on Price is Right.
The motor sells for $12,000 Retail price.......That doesn't mean GM spends that much to build it, honestly.....it probably costs GM around $4,000 - $6,000 to make that 7.0L....

W/ dealer mark-up I am guessing a guy would being paying $70k.
there is no way that car is selling for less then the ZL1 :eyebulge: :faint: its rated above the ZL1 from GM so I would bet it will be 70-80K  :w00t: :headbang: :sm0: I would also bet some dealers will be selling it for 6 figures the first year... :fear:  :mad0259: :mad0260:

Pricing has yet to be announced, but GM told us at the New York show that it will be the most expensive Camaro. from C&D
more than a zl1 less than a gs stringray |
The Camaro has been out for 4 years so body cost/suspension, etc. should be a Zero increase and all they need to focus on is the Motor/Tranny and I seriously doubt you are talking about $30,000 in Motor/tranny costs with the 7.0L...
Just because you guys read somewhere about the cost of the 7.0L being $12,000 doesn't mean GM actually spent that much, after all it is not an entirely new design.... It has been around... I think GM made enough off of the 5th Gen sales over the past few years to be able to offer the Z/28 at a reasonable price(lol) hopefully... @ $70,000 - $80,000 how many do you think GM will actually sell ?? I hope that price isn't the case... |
