SS RS or RS SS, the great debate!
My Camaro collegue and I have had this debate for the last few months:
SS RS  - or - RS SS  Your thoughts? |
I would say RSSS, as I've always called my 69 convert. It's an SS with an RS description
|
SS RS FTW
|
SS/RS for sure
|
SS/RS
|
definitly SS/RS
|
its SS/RS for the 2010. If I not mistaken the !st generation went by rs/ss
|
It's an SS with the RS package.
so SS/RS You don't go, "Yeah this baby has the RS package. Oh yeah and a V8." You say, "This is the SS with an RS package" |

This thread started 2 days after I order "SS/RS" for my license plate :iono:

SS trumps a RS. SS is a performance package and RS is an apperance package. That's why SS in red denotes that is a SS with RS package. SS RS is correct>
|
ssrs of course
ss is the model then rs is the option
wish they had put both instead of color code and on fender as wellunder camaro |
Typically, in her Majesty's English, a 'descriptor' goes before the item being described. Ie: I have a "yellow Camaro", therefore, I have an RS SS, since the RS describes the additional package on the subject, being the SS.
To say I have an SS RS is like saying, I have a Camaro yellow... |
In Gen 1's it was whacky how you could order cars and it could be more confusing then but in the modern Gen 5 it is simple.
The RS with no SS is a V6 The SS with no RS is a V8 So in my thinking it could NEVER be a RS/SS....ONLY SS/RS :D |
