Need Help
 

last night was the first time i ever drag raced, and i had a great time, but my runs were not what i was expecting from reading what ive seen on here. i have a 2011 camaro ss m6 with a k&n cai and muffler delete. ive seen some guys times that have the same mods i have dip down in the lower 13s and im just not sure what i can do to improve, so any advice will help out a lot. im on the right on the slip

It's because she's an M6. With manuals your ET comes down to driver skill more than anything. If you can't get your 60 foot times below 2.0 seconds you're not going to get great times.

I don't think that's too bad at all, especially for your first time at the track!!!

any advice on how i can do that? i know practice will help but any tips that could help out?

It really just takes practice. To drive a M6 fast, you have to drive it like you dont care if you are going to break it. I couldn't mentally handle that and got rid of mine (2010 2SS) and got an automatic (2011 2SS). That being said, its all about practice: Heating tires, leaving at the right time and RPM, slipping the clutch...Not that its not possible because many have done it but its not easy and it takes lots of practice.
