My local dealer is selling new Z28's
The local Chevy dealer in my town is adding cold air intake, changing exhaust, adding aluminun head covers, tuning, and adding Z28 emblems and selling them on the lot with warranty. They are also claiming 530 hp from 426. The salesman started one up for me yesterday and man did that exhaust sound sweet. Does that increase in hp sound right?

So your dealer is turning a questionable and unethical practice formerly perpetrated by lothsome individuals into a standard business practice that will leave some buyers with fake Z/28s. While the dealer may make a few dollars on this practice, I personally feel like the purchasers are getting totally screwed. Sure would like to see an end put to the practice by a dealer..........are you listening GM??

As long as the customers buying the "Z-28" realize its a dealer put together
package and not a factory offering what's the harm? |

yeah take a look at this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3U9LPSwlLM gm made thousands of miles of testing and adjusting (call it tuning if you want) with a car that was supposed to be the Z28 (and will be sold as the ZL1 as we all know today) a ZL1 is a highly sophisticated high performance (ready to race) sportscar (take a look at all what is done to the underpinnings, drivetrain, aerodynomics...) and not just an Camaro SS with some bold on mods:facepalm: it is not only supposed:rolleyes: horsepower, it is the complete package, which makes the difference |
Just wondering how much more $$ does he ask for the car ?
