More torq!!

What can I do to gain more torq? I don't want to s/c or turbo yet. I don't care to much on hp just torq, like the bentley brooklands, it's only 505 hp but it has 700 of torq.and yes I know it's turbo charged.

Nitrous or bigger cubes

Apex Motorsports 03-05-2013 06:54 PM

Rear end gears.

4.10's. ... Although you will rip them out if you go FI. If you don't want to FI or turbo i doubt you want to stroke . Stoke adds insane amounts of torque down in 3k to 4k rpm range

What does it mean to stroke it. Lol I know how that sounds.

Mchlgrrsn 03-05-2013 09:37 PM

Bigger crank shaft. Rebuilt short block with forged pistons ... About the same money as a supercharger .. Maybe a little more ... Adds mostly torque ... Adds a little a piece of mind about breaking things

Stroking means getting a crank with a longer stroke up to 4.0 (for a 416) or a 4.1 (for a 427) as opposed to a 3.62 that ALL LS engines share.
The stock length connecting rods are 6.098 and with a stroker crank they are Beam 6.125.
In essence your making that piston go down lower in the bore increasing the volume of air getting sucked in.

Hope that helps

Gears will feel like more torque and nitrous will actually make more torque!
