Pricing seems ridiculous?

So I got everything done and the vehicle came out to be around $37700
The model was an inferno orange 2LT with stripes, RS, orange interior, sunroof. I don't even think they discounted me on anything. They even tried to make me sign the paper even before disclosing interest rate and the price :confused0068:. I was like soo..what's the interest rate and they were like oh right.. (good thing i saw the paper that i was about to sign on top it said sale of vehicle or something)

Now this is in GA. I was expecting it to be around 35k OTD. If you're from GA, the metro area, what was your OTD for a 2LT?

101ABN 02-04-2011 11:03 AM

Ummm, yeah, they are trying to hose you. A 2LT with everything you added should MSRP around 33k...build it on chevy.com and check that out. you can also check this post on what others are paying for their 2LTs....

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73791

Also check the regional forums area, there is a Southeast section that covers GA, talk to some of those guys/gals about your dealer and where they went.

Good luck!

That seems real high my OTD on my 1SS was 32,867. Granted I am in North Carolina and the tax rates are different but still I wouldn't pay that for a V6. You can find an SS cheaper or the same car you are looking at cheaper somewhere else. Good Luck.

Don't do it...............they are charging some kind of premium :iono::iono:

My car: 2010 2LT, RS, Sunroof, stripes, spare tire and A6.
I paid msrp of $31,800 before tax and title, (tax was $1,600 and title was $100) back in July of 2009 before there were any discounts.
I know they've gone up a few hundred since then but geez...........

Looks like they're charging at least a $4,000-$5,000 premium onto the msrp.
There is no reason to even pay msrp anymore.

TruK1lla 02-04-2011 11:13 AM

They were like I just need you to sign this even BEFORE disclosing the interest rate and price to me!!! I was like...yeah right

blackknight 02-04-2011 11:16 AM

i paid 37,000 for my 2ss/RS....

dwj950 02-04-2011 03:17 PM

sounds steep and they are jerking you if they don't show interest rate. I bought a 2LT with polished wheels, spare, automatic and a couple of dealer installed goodies such as splash guards for an out the door of about $32k back in November.

Also take an Edminds.com report to them if that helps....it should tell you how much peeps are paying for your car in the area.....and DEAL....DEAL....DEAL.....as I mentioned on another post....love it after you by it not before....makes a BIG difference on price....

SSOOCH 02-04-2011 03:23 PM

My 2SS/RS with stripes wasn't even that much!

ORANGA2D 02-04-2011 03:24 PM

I agree with the above posts, and I paid less the 37k for my 2SS/RS IOM and IO interior. So you might want to shop around more, see about internet or fleet manager prices. Also check with some of the deals here our our forums.

rainey85 02-04-2011 03:47 PM

Wow :confused0068:, that's almost as much as I'm paying for my 2LT/RS convertible. I'm paying $38,000 and some change and that's after tax, title and tag. As 101ABN said, go build it on the Chevy.com site and you can see how much it should be. I'd also find another dealer. ASAP!

TruK1lla 02-04-2011 05:23 PM

Ok I just found one OTD for 34800 and some change! Only thing is the stripe color is not I want. They said I can bring it to another place and they can change the color of the stripe but not there. Good Deal?

go to gm.com and build your vehicle.. it will give you your price. afterwards you can scan the local dealerships and see who has what you want. You can take the printout to local dealerships to show them what it should cost.

If you talk to the forum sales members they will order a car, drop ship it to you at a local dealer, and give you $$$ off the price of the car. That's the best way to go..

Swapping stripes on one you found will cost about 1K.

Silver2SSRS6spd 02-04-2011 06:57 PM

Run as far as you can away from that dealership. I paid less than that for my 2SS RS. You shouldn't have to pay anymore than halfway between the MSRP and invoice at worse.
