INSTALLED Light Wurkz Orion V2 Halo Rings
so finally this weekend i took the time to work on my headlight mod. The process with the headlights wasnt too bad but when it came time to remove my bumper... oh my goodness, it was hell cause i have big hands and arms and when i had to get that last screw on top inside the fender well.... jeezus christmas what an experience! anyways, here are a few photos a long the way...and i think it was well worth the trouble!
PIC1: after i finally pryed apart my headlight, make sure to remove any factory glue so u can seal it back up when done http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/42e5410f.jpg PIC2: remove the little hex screws from the inner frame http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/510548d4.jpg PIC3: this is what i used to glue the halo on to the headlight frame http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/910a45c2.jpg PIC4: glued the halo on to the housing frame http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/af9ea02f.jpg |
PIC5: this is how it looks when the glue sets :)
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/7ea848de.jpg PIC6 and 7: i used one inverter per halo http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/770b1beb.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/a28cfc9f.jpg PIC8: this is where i decided to mount the halo inverter http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/f37d7434.jpg PIC9: installed the housing frame back to the headlight lense http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/c7ccd42a.jpg |
PIC10: during the process, i decided i wanted to paint the headlight housing flat black so my halos can stand out more and later i will install HID's in my fogs :D so i went for it!
I removed the part that i didnt want painted which was the turn signal reflector http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/7b90f44a.jpg PIC11: i sanded the headlight reflector http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/a4692128.jpg PIC12: applied primer to the headlight reflector http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/7c514dfa.jpg PIC13: painted the headlight reflector flat black http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/25a9165f.jpg PIC14: drilled a small hole in the area with the red circle to get the wires out and reinstalled the turn signal reflector http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/7ddbb938.jpg PIC15: took a break and ate some nice delicious home cooked rice with sauteed veggies and shrimp because the next part u want done right or your halo will be introduced to rain lol http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/d7591a44.jpg |
PIC16: got my silicone and rubber gloves ready cause its gonna get dirty
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/b1152a9f.jpg PIC17 and 18: i applied a little bit of glue in some areas to hold it tight so i can create a nice seal around the entire headlight. Dont be afraid to get your hands dirty and i recommend wearing rubber gloves so that u can move the silicone around to where u need it to be. make sure to apply enough glue so that it blocks any water from getting in, in other words, dont be stingy with the silicone. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/275a72c2.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/361faf40.jpg PIC19: finally after 2-3 hours trying to remove the fascia lol. seriously, trying to get to that top screw in the fender was a 8itch! that took about an hour lol sorry for the cloudy pic http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/85b1fb52.jpg |
PIC20: this is how i wired mine, its personal preference. i wired them to the parking lights so when i turn the switch to enable the parking lights, my halos turn on.
The passenger side Halos brown (-) wire is connected to the black wire on the parking light harness and the halos white (+) wire is connected to the next wire over which is brown/white on the harness. The Driver side Halos brown (-) wire is connected to the black wire on the parking light harness and the halos white (+) wire is connected to the next wire over which is purple on the parking light harness. Heres an example... http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/3f15181a.jpg |
PIC21: installed the headlights and getting ready to fire em up...
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/a7a9571b.jpg PIC22: ...and voila!! I present to you Light Wurkz Umnitza OrionV2Rings http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/87368a16.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/a79acd3c.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/b3b52e8a.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/f55bd72c.jpg So what do yall think? |

i did the same thing with my last car and had no issues, all i did was add HIDs to my fogs and i was good ;) |
Are you going to use projectors since you blacked out your reflectors? How are HID's supposed to reflect from black paint?
|
Nooooooo. I'm converting my fogs to HID's not the headlights. I said it like 2 times.
