Car covers for Canadians?

Anyone out there able to get a Canadian price for car cover? Spoke to my dealer and he told me their cost was $400 Cdn --seems a little steep not sure if he trying to make a BIG profit!

I was looking at the GM ordering system and I laughed when I saw the price. It was $460 or something like that. I can't figure out GM Canada's pricing sometimes - they make the RS package a bargain but then they come out with doubling the price of the covers. :iono:

Heard that's price as well. Depends on what you like I guess. I bought car covers for my old Camaros. They are fairly good ones paid a couple hundred bucks a peice

Canadian RPO options

Your Canadian price when ordered with the car was $450 and then who knows if you would even get it. The Hurst Shifter was cancelled along with the High Wing Spoiler here in Canada I went to the Performance Parts Dealer in Oshawa and all the Special Order Parts are not available here till late fall, so they tell me. Maybe a trip to Buffalo is in order??

Thanks- just wanting to see if my dealer was atleast in the right ballpark - I think that the cover will be well worth it for a Black one!

Keep an eye on Camaro Scotty's posts as he has GMPP available and is adding products as they become available. And yes they do ship to Canada.

As for here in Canada, good luck with that, I sent an e-mail to my dealer back in March listing the GMP Parts I was interested in and still have not heard a thing:rolleyes:

According to another member here, the material is like parachute fabric and is not lined/backed. On a black car aspecially, I would not recommend repeated on and off again use. If you store it for the winter months, put it on and take it off and leave it off for our fair weather months.

It just is so much money for a car cover once you add taxes it is over $500. My hope is there will be companies offering camaro specific car covers for much cheaper by the time the winter rolls around.

my dealer priced at:

list $ 336.25
net $ 305.99 - basically my discount if I wanted it

Should be no problem getting it.

The pricing was given to me on March 31.

Hey Guys/Girls (if any) I bought my cover for my 1980 vette from Hugger Covers (Canadian Co.). They have them sorted by size of car, but specify by make as well. When you call them and order they will ask what year and make of car you have. Here's the link with all the info you need.
