Camaro SS/RS with a different front?!?!

Why does this "2010 Camaro RS/SS" as labeled in the new publicity guide have a different fascia, similar to the V6 RS? At first I thought it was mislabeled and it was really a V6 RS, but it has the SS hood scoop!!! Also look at the bottom vent on the right side. Is that on the V6 RS? I didn't think it was! Maybe it's just the concept?

I dont understand the sales guide. I was one of the first people to read it after txturbo posted the link for it and it seems to be an advertisement for the car.
Its not like its a salespersons list of features of the car its like a brochure for it. So i dont get the whole "The information included in this Salesperson Reference Guide is GM confidential and is intended for salesperson personnel only." deal. Plus its not like it has any new info. It is convient to look at though.

Yeah, concept. You can tell by the slimmer rear view mirrors and the turn signals that are on the outside of the headlights, as opposed to the inside as on the pre-production.

Tantalizer43 08-19-2008 02:24 PM

Yep. Mirrors are the easiest way to differentiate between the 2...

wlvrine 08-19-2008 02:28 PM

Concept...mirrors give it away.

Another pointer is the turn signals. Concept has them outside of the headlights and on the production they are on the inside of the headlights.

Its basically a book of ways that GM suggests salespeople advertise the car. So yes, in essence it is an advertisement. As for being confidential, well, GM can make whatever they want confidential (to an extent, at least).

Everyone got it right. They used the wrong pix. Simple as that.
