In the Past they are released to the 24 Indianapolis area Chevy dealers on APX the June 1. Some could be held over and reused at Brickyard especially if they use the Blue SS sedan as the pace car for the Brickyard 400 like at Daytona. Most of the festival cars get 2000-3000 miles. Some can be as low as 200 if the VIP only uses it on race weekend but thats rare. I have also seen them as high as 5000 miles. Some could end in OH or IL as well.

These are for sale now at Local IN and Ohio dealerships.

Anyway to know who was in which car? And what driver rode in it in the parade?

MLL67RSSS 04-07-2014 06:43 AM

Lee93 has documented that pretty thoroughly. Any particular car # you're looking for?

lee93 04-07-2014 07:11 AM

Sorry I missed your post, I don't check camaro5 much anymore as it has gotten so large that when I enter pace car it will not retrieve the post for me. We try very hard each year to document who had what car and what events it went to. Do to privacy laws we can not publish that info on a site but if you send me the vin number I can send you the info or photos I have about your car. There is never a fee for this I simply ask that you be patient with how long it takes me to find the time.

Thanks Lee93, I just bought car #3, can I get some of the data? The VIN is public information since it has been on ebay several times, so here it is: 2G1FK3DJ7D9205411

Also, I had the dealer try and print out a new window sticker, he said the VIN doesn't come up in the window sticker system in their service department. Anyone ever heard that? Do I have to contact GM directly to get a replacement sticker?

Sorry I missed this. I don't check Camaro 5 much. I have tons of photos every year of the 3 car. The driver of that one is a past customer of mine. Send me your email and I send the photos. Did you get the plate with it and was the Indy 1003 sticker still on the windshield. If it is be sure to save it. They will fade after months outside. Cool car! Lee

It was not in the Parade but was probably parked in the VIP area. At the 500 it was in the best parking spot but often dirty. The driver of that car rode in a historic car from the Museums collection during the Parade.

Sent you a pm! Thanks! Anyone else have a problem getting a replacement window sticker on Festival Cars?

MLL67RSSS 04-22-2014 05:47 AM

You'll have to contact Graphik Concepts with your VIN.

I'm talking about the manufacturers window sticker, I'm hoping to get the original, Lee thinks it might be in the glovebox, will wait and see when the car gets here.

The link you gave is that the guys that made the windshield and door stickers?

Sorry for my confusion. Yes, they produce and apply them here in Indy. They have extras for some time until they run out. You have to provide VIN and some sort of proof of ownership in order to buy any.

Thanks for the intel, might be smart to get a spare set while they are still available!
