Help with steps of Factory Remote Start

2011 RS LT1 v6

I'm going to have the dealer install a Remote Start on my car soon. Im trying to save as much as I can (so of course I can spend more money on other areas of the car ) So knowing how expensive any dealer work would cost. id like to know the best way to go about it. Im guessing these are the steps to take, but any imput would be greatly appreciated

#1 Buy my remote Start kit ------ Best place or site to Buy? :iono:

#2 Buy 2 Remote keys ------ Best place or site to Buy? :iono: I see coded and uncoded keys for sale ? Not sure the differance:facepalm:

#3 Have my 2 new keys cut------ Ill have the dealer do this

#4 Have the new keys Programmed -------- Can I do this myself, if so how? :iono:

And last

#5 Dealer cost for installation---Im sure they have their set price for install, probably will just to have to play hard ball.. but i did find this on the forum , seems like a good deal, but not sure. Again any help would be really great:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I don't know about all that business with the keys but it's up to you if you want OEM remote start or aftrermarket with an alarm.
That price don't look too bad to me but i'm no expert. There is a multitude of aftermarket systems. Search these forums to see what others like and see what they have paid and how it worked out for them.
